Burnley have announced the completion of a loan-deal for the signing of Jacob Bruun Larsen on a season-long loan from TSG Hoffenheim.

Larsen becomes the Clarets ninth summer signing as they prepare for a return to Premier League action.

Along with Larsen; Zeki Amdouni, James Trafford, Nathan Redmond and Luca Koleosho have all arrived in the last week, with Dara O’Shea and Jordan Beyer coming earlier in the window.

Vincent Kompany has been building his side up ahead of the Premier League opener, two weeks tomorrow against Manchester City.

Burnley have been enjoying a solid preseason, with a 2-0 win over Benfica recorded last time out.

Burnley’s new 24-year-old winger came through the ranks at Borussia Dortmun, making 41 appearances for them in total.

He later joined Hoffenheim in January 2020, while enjoying a loan-spell under his new boss at Anderlecht in the 2020-21 season.

The Danish star has won six caps for Denmark and also represented his nation at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

As reported by the Lancashire Telegraph, on his arrival, Larsen said:

“I’m really happy and excited to be here. I wanted to come to Burnley, the whole project really inspired me and as soon as I heard of the possibility, I knew it was what I wanted to do,

“It’s a dream for me to be here and get the opportunity to play in the Premier League. I hope we can do great things this season and I’m really looking forward to it now.”

Larsen is coming off a poor season, with just one goal in 15 games however Kompany will be keen to get the best out of him.
