Bailey Peacock-Farrell could be closing in on his Burnley exit with his former club Sheffield Wednesday showing an interest again.

Peacock-Farrell has been linked with a move back to his former loan club Sheffield Wednesday with the club showing an interest.

In an interview with BBC Radio Sheffield, current Wednesday boss Xisco Munoz revealed his interest in the shot stopper. He said:

“He’s one of the goalkeepers on our list.”

This could have came as a surprise given many assumed the interest would be ended following The Owls sacking of Darren Moore.

However it appears a move could be on for the 26-year-old Northern Irish goalkeeper.

Is losing Peacock-Farrell a good idea?

The arrival of James Trafford has left the 25-cap Northern Irish star with a huge decision to make.

With it highly unlikely he would find himself regaining the number one spot at Turf Moor a move elsewhere is probably the best option for the player himself.

For the Clarets, it also makes sense, with Peacock-Farrell not a Premier League level keeper (conceded 14 goals in 4 Premier League games) making him being second choice pointless.

A move to Wednesday is a brilliant move for the keeper and it is the club he has enjoyed the most success in his career to date. 17 clean sheets in 47 games for The Owls in League One, including a play-off run.

With Wednesday now in the Championship following their defeat of Barnsley in the play-offs, it represents a good challenge for Peacock-Farrell to prove himself.

We hope a move happens and is really successful for Peacock-Farrell.
