Vincent Kompany’s Burnley have lost three in a row to start the season, however it is worth noting they’ve played three of the leagues better sides.
Opening day saw a loss to reigning champions and treble winners Manchester City.
This was then followed by a week off and the a trip to Villa Park to take on the Conference League side.
Then most recently Tottenham Hotspurs came to Turf Moor and dispatched Burnley again.
Despite all these poor results, Vincent Kompany insists that his side are showing good signs.

Kompany on the season to date
The Burnley Express has reported that Kompany isn’t blaming the tough fixture list for his woes as he declares there are no easy games in the league.
He said: “There’s no such thing as an easy game in this league, so you have to try and prepare in the best way you think you can get a result,”
“Our team shows signs of having something really interesting, something to look forward to and we continue to build on that, whether it’s Tottenham or any other opposition.
“We focus on our own improvements, but we still think we can get a result of course.”
Now in the international break, Kompany has time to plan, however it doesn’t get much easier upon the resumption of the league.
The next four games will see Burnley face Forest at the City Ground, before Manchester United and Chelsea visit Turf Moor with a St James’ Park trip in-between.
Despite this Kompany isn’t concerned, “I think I’d prefer it that way,” he said.
“Those games can all come 10 games into the season, or 15 games into the season, and you can be as good as you want to be but it doesn’t mean you’re going to get results.
“The key is on getting better as quickly as we can and facing the top sides early? I don’t have a problem with that.”
