Vincent Kompany has emphasised that the summer transfer window he oversaw will give his side the best chance of survival.
Burnley were the most active team in the transfer market during the summer signing enough players to fill well over a starting XI.
Vincent Kompany has completely overhauled the Burnley squad since his arrival and has implemented a complete new identity for the club.
Prior to his arrival, Burnley were under Sean Dyche and played a traditionally English style of play which some may refer to as ‘hoof-ball’.
Under Kompany however, the style has became much more modern and somewhat European which is what proved to be the catalyst to their success last season.
Continuing the overhaul in the summer, Kompany believes has greatly improved his chances of having a successful season.

Kompany on transfer business
Burnley Express has reported an interview which Kompany has given about his sides transfer movements in the summer.
“It’s a conscious choice,” he said.
“You just have to look at the league, you’ll find every flavour at the bottom. There’s teams who have settled in and have not changed, teams who have changed…
“For us, we want to move forward and I’ve seen enough from the team to know we’re making a game out of games and that’s what I want from my team.
“Every game there is something for us and if that continues I’ll believe we will have enough results.
“Like against City, this was a game against a very good opponent but there was definitely something in the game for us. Not enough, because the result wasn’t there, but you believe the result will come after time.”
