Vincent Kompany is considering a move to bring Cody Drameh to Burnley this summer.

According to The Athletic, Burnley are interested in Cody Drameh ahead of Premier League football returning to Turf Moor this season. Kompany will certainly be keen to add to his side’s back line ahead of the new campaign.

However, it is going to be a busy summer for the Clarets with plenty of incomings and outgoings on the agenda. The club already look set to splash the cash to bring in James Trafford, who was so impressive in goal for Bolton last season, whilst on loan to the League One outfit from Manchester City. This will follow the arrival of Lawrence Vigouroux, another shot-stopper, this time coming in from Leyton Orient.

There will be plenty more to come this summer.

Who is Cody Drameh?

Cody Drameh was brought to Elland Road by then-Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa in August 2020. The youngster was yet to make his bow in senior football, but was well thought of at his previous club, Fulham. However, he struggled for game time in the top flight and has twice been loaned out in January.

Last season saw Drameh make a temporary switch to Kenilworth Road, where the 21-year-old full-back helped Luton Town reach the Premier League. Meanwhile, his parent club couldn’t stave off relegation from the top flight.

The young Englishman would be an ideal fit for Kompany’s fast-paced and progressive style of play and is now more likely to be able to cope with the demands of the Premier League, given that he has some Championship experience under his belt.
