Burnley face competition for signing of ‘physical phenomenon’

Burnley have had a strong transfer window this summer signing multiple impressive players, but they don’t seem to be done yet.

Despite immeasurably improving upon their loan-heavy lineup which earned promotion, Vincent Kompany isn’t done yet.

With a goalless first outing in the Premier League, albeit against the champions Manchester City, an attacker is being prioritised.

Various names have been mentioned including Hertha Berlin’s Dodi Lukebakio who now seems more likely to join Sevilla than Burnley.

Other names have also been mentioned but one name which got us particularly excited was Johan Bakayoko, however they could face competition for him.

Burnley need to move fast for Bakayoko

The need for urgency can’t be lost on Burnley with Everton primed to submit a bid for Bakayoko.

The winger from PSV Eindhoven has been so impressive that clubs in the ilk of Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli have also been interested.

The 20-year-old who is a ‘physical phenomenon‘ also has ‘very good technical ability’ on the ball.

The breakout star from the Eredivise last season had ten goals and assists in just 23 games, a brilliant return for such a young player.

Now according to Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri, the race is heating up to sign the four-time international.

Burnley can’t afford to let this one slip through their fingers after missing out on Lukebakio.

Therefore we think the Clarets should go big and bring a potentially special talent who could lock down the wing for years to come.

He is an addition that will get Turf Moor fans excited and one which has a huge upside, any fee could end up being a bargain for Bakayoko.
