Burnley are considering making a move for Mike Tresor this summer.

According to Belgian publication Nieuwsblad, Burnley and Fulham are both interested in bringing Mike Tresor to the Premier League. Brentford have also made an approach for the Genk midfielder, as per the Daily Mail.

Burnley are in the process of reinforcing their squad ahead of a return to the Premier League. Vincent Kompany’s side were utterly dominant in the Championship last time out. However, they’ll need to bring in even more quality to Turf Moor this summer if they’re to thrive in the top flight. Tresor is exactly the kind of talent the Clarets ought to be targeting.

Who is Mike Tresor?

Given Tresor’s recent exploits in the Belgian Pro League, it is unsurprising that a summer of fierce competition for his signature is on the cards. The versatile attacking-midfielder recorded a remarkable 28 assists last season, and also chipped in with 8 goals. The likes of Zeki Amdouni and Michael Obafemi will be very excited at the prospect of such a creative force joining the club.

Kompany will know all about his 24-year-old compatriot’s quality. The Burnley boss will have a close eye on emerging talents from his homeland, and Tresor received his first two senior caps this year.

With Tresor hitting the form of his life, and with his prime years still ahead of him, Burnley should be prepared to pull out all the stops to bring this high-flying playmaker to Turf Moor now. They’ll need to act fast though, because someone will definitely snap up Tresor this summer.
