Burnley are showing an interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka who is set to leave Chelsea on loan.
Chelsea’s utterly insane transfer ethos these days has seen multiple top quality midfielders arrive at the club over the last year.
Too many players for one squad, which means the less shiny players are now being pushed aside in favour of the newer signings.
The most recent arrivals of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia are the biggest examples of this, with the two likely to prohibit the youngsters who impressed in preseason from playing.
Now it appears one of the youngsters namely, Carney Chukwuemeka, is set to depart Stamford Bridge, along with big money acquisition Lesley Ugochukwu from Rennes.
The fact Premier League sides are lining up to sign these players should speak to the quality they have and that potentially they’ve made a mistake joining Chelsea.

Chukwuemeka attracting Burnley interest
The 19-year-old struggled to play last season and this season will be no different given the new quality competition.
Burnley have been reported as an interested party for a while, since their promotion was secured in-fact.
But now they will have fresh hope of a deal materialising with the Evening Standard reporting that Chukwuemeka could depart on loan this summer.
With the former Aston Villa star likely down the pecking order, a loan is beneficial to him and also both clubs.
However Burnley will face competition to sign him, with Sheffield United also looking at bringing the English midfielder to their side.
Ultimately whoever wins the race for him, will be gaining a hugely impactful footballer with real quality in midfield.
