Burnley have held talks with young French winger Wilson Odobert as they look to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of the upcoming season.
According to MailOnline, the Clarets have been in touch with the teenager from Troyes as they look to form a possible deal. Foot Mercato state that Vincent Kompany’s men have gone one further than just holding talks, claiming that an offer of £9.4million has been accepted for the 18-year-old.
A product of Paris Saint-Germain’s academy, Odobert signed for Troyes last season and scored four goals in 32 appearances as ESTAC were relegated from Ligue 1.
The winger also provided two assists, but was unable to aid his side in surviving the drop to Ligue 2.

It is no secret that Kompany is in search of attacking additions. The Clarets boss has reportedly offered a contract to free agent Andros Townsend following his performances whilst on trial with the club in pre-season, alongside waiting on Manchester City to give the green light on a proposed loan deal for Cole Palmer.
Nathan Tella is another who has been strenuously linked with a return to Turf Moor following his impressive form whilst on loan with the Clarets last season, with Southampton said to be haggling over a deal for their academy graduate.
What does Odobert offer?
Spanish journalist Andrés Onrubia Ramos stated that the youngster had ‘extraordinary quality’ and was a ‘very skilled winger’ in one-on-on situations.
Odobert is capable of playing on either flank, as well as an advanced midfielder, and earned plenty of praise for his showings during his maiden season in senior football.
Commentator Robbie Thomson hailed the Frenchman as ‘outrageously talented’, adding to the list of compliments received for the teenager despite his side’s relegation.
Burnley are not only looking to once again stabilise as a Premier League outfit, but also to build for the future if their recent signings are anything to go by.
The Clarets’ have signed an abundance of young talent so far this summer, and Odobert may be the next on that list.
Relatively inexperienced, but majorly impressive in his breakthrough season, this young man could certainly be one for the future.
