Burnley are interested in signing Leicester City striker Patson Daka.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Burnley are looking at bringing him in on an initial loan deal, with an option buy. Although it is not clear just yet whether it could turn into an obligation to buy.

Tavolieri says that Burnley do still have interest in AC Milan and former Liverpool striker Divock Origi, although the Belgian has not spoken to manager Vincent Kompany just yet.

Patson Daka is a 24-year-old striker who joined Leicester back in the summer of 2021 from Austrian side RB Salzburg, for a fee of £22 million.

In his two seasons so far at the King Power Stadium, he has scored nine goals in 53 Premier League games.

At Salzburg he scored 27 goals in 28 league games in his final season with them, helping them win the league.

He is also an international for Zambia, playing 35 times and scoring 12 goals to date for the senior team.

Whilst he has been somewhat of an underwhelming signing for the Foxes, he still possesses plenty of quality at Premier League level. He is known for being very quick, being lethal in behind.

Daka is one of many moves Burnley are looking to make before the transfer window shuts on Friday. They are also looking at resigning Ian Maatsen from Chelsea after he spent last season on loan at Turf Moor, helping them win the Championship.

They are also said to be looking at signing Genk attacker Mike Tresor, with another loan and option to buy being discussed.
